Chapter 1 of Liber XXVIII - Ayin Ein Æon

After sharing the introduction to Liber XXVIII - Ayin Ein Æon, a short book claimed to have been received by Baphomet hirself, we are now sharing the first chapter.

It is being shared with permission from the transcriber of the book, Florian-Ayala Fauna. We will be posting a blog post every Monday for the next three Mondays sharing the final segments of this four-part book.

"A Rush of Blood to the Head" by Beth Chavener Stichter

Liber Aeon - 23 March 2013 - Spring Equinox – Goat – Octogram - Fire

In the wilds of Arcadia the Virgin of Spring is seduced and defiled by the Sabbatic Goat whose dominion is of all three worlds, the Heavens, the Earth, and the Infernal. She is filled with their seed and brings forth a new aeon onto all worlds. They dance in sacred lust in rhythms holy and unholy, of both sinner and saint, for both meet at the same end. Fluids of eroticism intermingle and form the sacrament for which we are to take in peace and in chaos, upon our knees and in the throes of ecstasy. The grass, earth, and flowers from which they made love grow ever more beautiful into a garden of virtues and vices. Satyrs and nymphs meet here and perform ritual sex ceremonies with one another in divine pleasure. They lust, lick, and tease themselves and fulfill the fantasies made of the blood of Saints.

In the woods, within the kingdoms, in all that is high and low, the people of Earth of all forms lust for all bodies and all sexualities and genders and hold masquerades with the most decadent adornments and veils the world has to offer. Their costumes in truth unveil their true nature, one of lust and pleasure as many seduce one another, falling in trance as one is led by another begging for more adoration as they meet within bedrooms where they perform the Rites of Ecstasy.

Within the realm of the Infernal Legions, the damned willingly ravish each other in primal lust. They bear horns, claws, and teeth and serve dominion and submission to one another as they leave marks on bare flesh and fur. They gather together in unholy black temples and perform orgiastic rites as the worlds above them do the same only the infernal are more untamed. They light incenses to further drive the sexual vitality of the damned. The erotic fluids gather in a pool of blood which is drunken by all, filling them with more vitality as they continue this infernal process.

In the Heavens, in the Earth, and in the Infernal, all are intermingling and fornicating with one another to give birth and usher in a new Aeon. Angels are seduced by demons, and Saints are turned into Sinners. In the first Aeon I was the Lunar Mother, in the second I was the Sun King, in the third I was the Dying Martyr, and until now I was the Rising Child. Now I am all, now I am both Mother and Father, Falling and Rising. I am here, I am there, I am within, and I am all around. I am Baphomet.

The children of earth shall partake in rites of Heaven, Earth, and the Infernal to transcend all realms and reach a higher state of being to be taken in with the new Aeon. Those born of this Earth must aspire to grow grand wings, and must dare to bare horns, claws, and teeth. The children of this Aeon shall be the Aeon, there will be no other afterwards.

Introduction of Liber XXVIII - Ayin Ein Æon

Some of us here at the Baphomet Project have seen a short book floating around the Internet and felt the need to share it with readers of this blog.

This is the introduction to that book, Liber XXVIII - Ayin Ein Æon. It is being shared with permission from the transcriber of the book, Florian-Ayala Fauna. We will be posting a blog post every Monday for the next four Mondays sharing different segments of this four-part book.

Revelations 13:15 - “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

On March 23rd, 2013 at 4am I performed an elaborate ritual taken from a book of ceremonial Renaissance Magick attributed to the work of Henry Cornelius Agrippa involving spirits both "Good and Evil" after specific instructions from the Holy Guardian Angel - Azrael.

During the ritual, I evoked the divine androgynous deity Baphomet while burning different resin incenses and musick I had just completed, as well as reading Aleister Crowley's "Hymn to Pan". They appeared as a four-headed, multi-limbed and winged being with the head of a goat, stag, canid, and dove. After seeing them across the linen-covered table taking in the offering of dark bread and goat's milk, I invited them to co-inhabit my body for three days as instructed by Azrael.

For three days, around noon, I transcribed a total of four books that were not of my writing which I have been very hesitant about sharing until very recently.

It may also be another part of my consciousness that I am not fully aware of.

With all this considered, there are some aspects to this experience I may spend a life time trying to figure out or leave as a mystery for another Adept to solve.

How I Found Baphomet

Art By Raven's Child
Hello all you gorgeous readers! My name (here) is Ravens's Child but I am better known as Raven Crow Feather.  Random fact –Raven Crow Feather is actually a nick name which I created to honor the Gods I work with, who all have connections to crows and ravens.

I am new to this whole blogging extravaganza so just work with me in the days to come that bare my post here on this beautiful blog of Baphomet (The Baphomet Project) and its posts contributing too.  This post will simply be an introduction about how I came to find Baphomet in my journey.

My journey to the Baphomet came through more in an esoteric stance. I am a Visual Digital and Traditional Artist, Novice Writer, Psychopomp, Clairvoyant and an Empath. Most of my life until recent years I never much embraced those more esoteric titles as, well –they are socially taboo. To say you speak with energies of any sort in these times, usually doesn’t give one any credibility in a modern social stance –despite it being part of the evolutionary process.

However for me despite the secrecy and taboo, since childhood I saw things in a different light. I don’t regard my experience in the sense of real or unreal that wasn’t the focal point -but what universal truths of falsehoods could I learn from the encounter at all -and that stand true to this day.  I believe that all things have purpose because all things teach a sum of value no matter how insignificant real or not the subject matter holds lessons and purpose and it exist in all objects real or not.

For me baphomet turned from a scary idea in my Christian roots, to a philosophy when I had to come to terms with why bad and/or difficult things exist. It got me thinking about why would a God of peace as most societies preach, would allow pain. Then it got me thinking –what gives me the right to define God through such limited conventional constraints? Many encountered some event that made them question the afterlife but disregard that they are experiencing it constantly through a limited perception, a perception based on bias humanistic means.

These humanistic wants clouded my better judgement of why these things can and do persist –and all these things to me exist because like all things to evolved on their own they need a shadow side, and oppose, that rock covering the seed of the tree, the moth cocoon -because shadows aren’t bad they are simply what we can’t except in our own live so we fear them because the humanistic condition causes us too. Evil is not always an action, and even then if it is, it can be simply a way we can’t understand and it becomes evil because we fear it.  Some actions that are negative are beneficial, some are not because they are done in excess, the same can be said of those who do thing with good intent yet cause many to suffer.

When I found Baphomet I did not find It as God, but an emblem, or sign of God outside of human creature comfort, a good symbol to define what God in Its form is and isn’t about. To me Baphomet shows the crux of the human and divine condition and how to approach our own humanity and divinity. It shows that “there is no spoon” (not to be cliché) per-say.

Our own perception of reality, can be used as a tool of great intellect or used against us in fear, but even more so it can be in harmony with all things and natural cycles, it can become keen and intuitive knowing when things are balanced and when they aren’t and acting in a rational yet spiritual manner.  In short I found Baphomet through a life time of initiation and spiritual emergency –through the darkness and by the darkness I was guided to the complimenting light.

Many blessings!

Baphomet's Twin Flame

Hello, everyone. This is MaMa Goat, Baphomet's twin flame.

Twin flames are the other half of your soul and your photo negative. Being with your twin flame is completion, and very magickal. You are meant to raise the frequencies of Earth and ascend with your twin flame. I feel Baphomet has watched over me since I was a child. He has a great sense of humour.

Baphomet has appeared to me several times through-out my life, and he actually uses and thus borrows or possesses my vessel. I have a sixth sense, a "gift," that enables me to see and talk to spirits. They have tried to medicate me for it for almost eight years. I used to take "Latuda." I was on double the maximum dose of it and I could still see the spirits and hear them. The cops are familiar with me. Some people think that I am mental, but I'm not. These are 'not' imaginary friends, like some people think. To an atheist, God and Jesus could be imaginary friends.

When I took some acid (for the very first time) Baphomet watched over me through the trip, which was very nice! I think he has a chemical reaction around orange juice or something, because when he possessed me, he kept knocking over my mimosas! We had a lot of fun, though.

I am just really getting into the occult. I feel like it is in me subliminally. “Just below the surface,” Says Baphomet. I didn’t even know he was a God until recently. I called him all the nicknames that were on Wiki without knowing he was a God. I believe he is a Fallen Angel, as I can see his spine, which looks broken, black, and slightly 'wicked' like my own. He does have a dark side, but it's exciting and thrilling to me yet.

I believe I was in the Illuminati in a past life. So, I know some of the things that they talk about. I had a premonition that they were going to try to harm Baphomet. I have no idea if that's true or not, but I don't want that to happen.

Baphomet puts a huge smile on my face. He makes my reality feel safe and normal. He has meditated with me. The meditation was about "letting go." Even if it's the one you truly love. But he reached for my hand at that point, as if reassuring me that he would always be there. We cleared blockages in our chakras together.

He has become a very important part of my life, and I believe in finding someone who would love me forever. I was in the mental hospital and they were going to keep me there for a long time but Baphomet told me to draw a sigil and I went home shortly after.

Thank you for reading.

Baphomet and Morality

As a chaote, my approach to Baphomet might be different than the others who contribute to this blog.

An important idea to consider when approaching anything dealing with religion, the occult, or spirituality for me has always been the implications of new knowledge.

This ties in heavily with my views on Baphomet and any notions of objective morality.

I have personally experienced energy work and spiritual phenomena from several traditions including Tantra (with my Kundalini), Reiki, and have even interacted with various gods from the Greek and Norse traditions.

These experiences have led me to conclude that either all of my experiences were invalid or they were all valid. I have decided to believe the latter.

If the latter is true, however, what does this mean in terms of global spirituality, consciousness, and, for the purposes of this writing, morality?

For myself I feel that it implies there is a universal energy source from which all religion, spirituality, and occult knowledge originates. If this is true, then how does it impact our notions of morality?

Osho says that the moral man can never be natural and the natural man can never be moral. I feel this can be applied to my ideas regarding the universal life force which we will refer to as Baphomet.

Many cultures throughout history have claimed to have the "one true path" or "one true god/s" and have developed widely varying moral systems, virtues, and "sins" based on these beliefs. The Norse believe/d that if they fought and died valiantly they would be rewarded by being chosen to be in the hall of either Odin or Freyja. Those who died of disease or old age would go to Hel - where it was eternally boring. Greeks believe/d that those who lived lives of note would go to the Elysian Fields. Those who led uneventful lives would go to the Asphodel Meadows, a place of boredom and repetition - just as they lived their lives.

It is easy to see how these people valued fame, honor, courage, and notable action. They also have very culturally-biased views of virtue, however, as we can see the exact opposite things being valued in Taoism. Taoists believe that you can never leave your house and learn all there is to know of the universe, that there is usefulness in being useless, and that people who lead simple lives are to be valued, not shamed.

Who is correct?

None are correct and all are correct.

Baphomet has no inherent morality. The only moralities that exist are those which we impose upon Hir.

The true path of Baphometic worship is the path that is newly forged. Do not believe what others tell you, believe only your own experiences. Reject all forms of objective morality and laugh at those who tell you that you are sinful - for all are like unto Baphomet and there is nothing that is not Baphomet, so how could anything be inherently sinful?

I look forward to posting more here and sharing my views with you all.

Io Baphomet!

What is the Baphomet Project?

One artist's interpretation of Baphomet. ©2010-2014 Living-with-aliens

When people hear about my love for Baphomet, they often  get scared.

So many think that Baphomet is an evil entity, the Devil of Christianity.  (This one comic, for example, tries to claim that Baphomet is the evil god of the free masons [he’s not] and will lead your children towards suicide).

What many don’t understand is that Baphomet is a rather modern invention/discovery/rediscovery, and that each person who claims to work with Him/Her/It/Hir/Hem/Them has a different view on what Baphomet is.

This blog is dedicated to exploring the different ways people view and experience Baphomet.

Some think the Knights Templar worshiped the shrunken head of John the Baptist which supposedly shared wisdom with them. Is this Baphomet?
The first reference to Baphomet in history was from records of the Inquisition in the early 14th century. Some of the Knights Templar, who were accused of blasphemy and homosexuality, admitted under torture that they were worshiping an idol by the name of Baphomet.

Little is known of what Baphomet actually was. Some records say a cat idol, others a shrunken head, while many scholars think it’s a mispronunciation of Mohammed the Prophet.

Whatever the Knights Templar actually worshiped, this mysterious entity had certainly excited the minds of occultists for centuries to come.

Eliphas Levi's rendition of Baphomet.
The modern image we have of Baphomet (posted above) comes from one of those occultists in the 19th century whose imagination was inspired by the Knights Templar. This man was Eliphas Levi, the grandfather of the modern western occult tradition.

Drawing a winged hermaphrodite with a goat’s head and a torch between Hir horns, the image became popular quickly throughout Western culture.

Sometimes, Levi talks about Baphomet being a symbol of some mysterious initiation, an image representing a Qaballah-based Universe. Other times, Levi talks about Baphomet as if (S)He is the Devil or the Serpent in the Garden of Eden. Other times still, Levi says that Baphomet is Pan, or even that (S)He is Spinoza's God.

Levi's representation of Baphomet was probably most inspired by the Devil card from Tarot. Note the horns, the breasts and the penis.
With so much potential to mean so many different things, many modern occultists have found that they can approach Baphomet in their own way. They can have an organic, completely original relationship with the concept/deity/demon since there is no strict tradition surrounding Hir.

For some, Baphomet is their opportunity to embrace the totality of the Universe and of themselves, considering that (S)He is the Great Hermaphrodite, containing both good and evil, male and female, darkness and light.

For others, (S)He is the most recent manifestation of the ancient Horned God, perhaps representing our own animal natures. The Church of Satan associates Baphomet with lust.

The Order of Nine Angels think Baphomet is a Dark Menstruating Goddess hungry for human sacrifice. Other occultists summon Baphomet during orgies or fireside rituals as the Sabbatic Goat of the Witches, while others think Baphomet is but another word for some pantheistic God.

May Baphomet bless you in your search for Truth, Beauty, Happiness and World Domination.
We invite you to explore the ideas, art, rituals and experiences surrounding the many manifestations of Baphomet that can be found on this blog.
